A Note on the Working Quality and Finish Adaptability of Rubberwood (Hevea brasiliensis)

Working qualities and finish adaptability of rubberwood, hitherto underutllized timber, are reported in the present paper. The timber is easy to work and is suitable for light furniture after preservative treatment. It takes polish satisfactorily. Blue stained timber gives good appearance when spirit polished with Turkey amber coloured chalk powder base.Downloads
