RULES FOR CONTRIBUTIONS OF ARTICLES

Contributions should be uploaded in website. The illustrations, tables, photos, figures etc. may be uploaded as supplementary files.

The Central Editorial Board does not hold it self responsible for the opinions expressed by the authors.

The Central Editorial Board reserves the right of accepting or rejecting any contribution and of making suitable alterations and amendments, without assigning any reason.

GUIDELINES TO AUTHORS

Presentation of the article-

The contribution should be submitted in the following format :

Title,

Name of author/authors along with their affiliation/address,

Abstract,

Key words,

Introduction,

Material and Methods,

Results and Discussion,

Conclusion and

References.

The matter should be typed in A4 size page 1.5 space

Submission of Manuscript-Authors may submit their article for publication in Indian Forester at our website www.Indianforester.co.in. An acknowledgement, with registered article number will be sent to the author as soon as the article is successfully uploaded in thewebsite.

1. Title-This should be in block capitals, brief and specific conveying the main subject of the contents of the paper. The title should be followed with the name of author/authors (in block capitals) along with their affiliation and complete address. Senior/corresponding author should also give his/her email Id if available.

2. Abstract-Abstract should summarize the content of the paper. It should be accurate, expressive, intelligible and brief (not exceeding 200 words). Do not write references nor display equations in the abstract.

3. Keywords-Three to five keywords which are prominently used in the paper and have relevance to the contents should be given following the "Abstract".

4. One liner-One liner should be catchy highlighting the main outcome of the study in brief, just in one line (not exceeding 35-40 words).

5. Introduction-It should introduce the topic with a background knowledge/studies related to the topic, justifying the select ion of the study and also elaborate in short the objectives of the study.

6. Illustrations/Photographs-The number of illustrations should be kept minimum as their reproduction is costly. Photographs and drawings should, if possible, be made to the correct proportion of the printing page of the journal. Captions should be typed or written on every. photo, table, figure, map or any other illustration. The approximate place where the illustrations are to be inserted should be indicated in the text, and the illustrations should be serially numbered.

Note: Since printing of coloured photographs is expensive than B/W photos, Indian Forester is charging Rs 5000/- per plate (1 to 4 pages) of coloured photographs from the authors.

7. Tables-Tables should be reduced to the simplest form and present only essential data. Small tables are given at appropriate place in the text while bigger tables should be submitted on separate sheets at the end of the article and must fit into single column, full width or, if absolutely necessary, landscape format. The use of vertical rules should be avoided. Numerical results should be calculated with suitable statistical package indicating significant differences, quoting probability levels.

8. Conclusion:Although conclusion may review the main points of the paper, do not replicate the abstract as the conclusion. It should indicate clearly advantages, limitations and possible applications and extensions of the study.

9. References-References should be given at the end of the article on separate sheet of paper. Reference to a citation in the text should be made by means of the author's name followed by the year of publication in parenthesis. The references, in the list should be arranged alphabetically in chronological order. References should be written uniformly as the author's name and initials (abbreviated), the year of publication (in parenthesis), the title of the article, the title of the book or periodical (in italics) volume number (in bold) and the page numbers. 10. Certificate of Plagiarism Free document-
The author must attach the Certificate of Plagiarism free document from any authentic Plagiarism software, with his/her article.

The authors from I.C.F.R.E. (Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education) and F.R.I. (Forest Research Institute) must attach and Plagiarism free document Certificate from URKUND PLAGIARISM SOFTWARE.

11. Declaration-The author must write a Declaration as below in the end of the article:

"I declare that the manuscript has not been published in any journal/book or proceedings or in any other publication, or offered for publication elsewhere in substantially the same or abbreviated form, either in print or electronically.
