Abstract

Epidermal structure and stomatal development has been studied in Santalum album L. Leaves of this plant are Hypostomatic with the stomata tending to be placed transversely near the major veins. Development of the two parallel subsidiaries is mesogenous. A number of stomatal anamolies including bulbous or horned polar thickenings are reported.
