Soil samples were collected from Langha Forest of Mussoorie Forest Division, Uttaranchal, India under five different plantations (Dalbergia sissoo, Pinus roxburghii, Eucalyptus hybrid, Tectona grandis and Acacia catechu) to classify them for species suitability for afforestation. The four discriminate functions together with functions of plantations were given. This analysis identified potential discriminators as Available N, Organic matter, Available K and Total K for discrimination of plantations.Downloads
