With the increase in the standard of living in the country the consumption of packaging paper is on the increase. To meet the production targets it is essential to produce more of fibrous raw materials especially long-fibred material. Cupressus lusitanica and Arancaria bidwillI are fast growing exotics from Mexico and Australia respectively. Proximate chemical analysis of the woods as well as fibre dimensions and their distribution in the pulp have been recorded. Kraft wrapping papers have been produced on the laboratory scale from both these materials.Downloads
