Abstract

The technique and cost of the three methods of raising deodar (Cedrus deodara) viz., patch sowing, line sowing and planting of nursery-raised seedlings have been compared. Planting of nursery raised seedlings has been found to be the cheapest of the three methods and is recommended than the other two in view of the fact that plantations so raised get established in comparatively shorter periods and the plants get better start.
