Tree Diversity of Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary in Gujarat

Abstract

The entire area of Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary has been surveyed for gathering information regarding vegetation and floristic components of the area. During the survey special emphasis has been given for enlisting the different tree species in the area. A total of 118 tree species have been observed and are enlisted in the present paper. In addition the observations on biotic factors as well as other environmental factors leading to the destruction of natural habitats of plants have also been incorporated.
