Abstract

This paper presents the results of an investigation carried out for the effect of temperature and seed dessication on seed germination and seedling growth of Pinus patula. The result revealed that the maximum seed germination occurred under 3O°C. The low shade level and high moisture levels provided best growth to Pinus patula seedlings. The root:shoot ratio was high at intermediate shade level.
