Abstract

The paper describes the role of shrubs in environmental conservation Of degraded slopes of Himalaya. Emphasis has been given on the protection of the disturbed slopes in ordcr to increase the species diversity and enrichment of the top soil to provide congenial environment for tree planting of desired species.
