Karnataka Forest Development Corporation Ltd., towards Commitments and Achievements

Abstract

Karnataka Forest Development Corporation Limited was incorporated as Government Company on 25.1.1971. The Corporation was established to develop land for forest plantations the meet the requirement of raw materials for industries, to deal with the sale of forest plantation and other forest produce and to promote forest industries. Plantation of Eucalyptus, Rubber, Cocoa, Tea, and Bursera have been raised and the rural people are being helped by supplying free firewood from the felled trees and small timber at concessional rates. A number of new projects have also been proposed to be taken up in future.
