Abstract

Investigations on photosynthetic activity and NR activity in Albizia and Samanea revealed that there is a close relationship between the physiological processes and age of the plant. The photosynthetic activity and NR activity increase with leaf age but start decreasing when the leaves are fully matured. Alhizia has got higher efficiency of CO2, fixation and NR over Samanea.
