Trials were undertaken to study the rootability of seedling cuttings of Tsuga dumosa D. Don, Cupressus rorulosa D. Don, Cupressus lusitanica Mill, Pinus patulu Schl. and Cham, Abies densa D. don. All the species tried gave 80-100 per cent rooting. Production of planting material by seedling cutting is much cheaper. The method is also very useful in multiplication of planting material quickly from limited stock.Downloads
