Effect of Wind-break and Shelterbelts on Wheat and Mustard as well as on Wind Velocity

The present investgation has been aimed to analyse the effect of wind-break and shelterbelts on the yield of two important cash crops of Gujurat (viz.) mustard and wheat. The plants under protected area (wind-break system) have shown increase over control in plant height, whole plant weight, weight of the total grains and total No. or grains. The wind-break system also has a marked effect on moteorological factors. Reduction in wind velocity and soli temperature and an increase in humidity were observed.Downloads
