The present paper on 'Plants yielding rubber' is the eight of the series of papers on 'Economic plants of Tripura State' contributed to this journal. None of the wild plants is worthy of commercial exploitation for rubber. Hevea brasiliensis Muell-Arg. (Para rubber) which is the major source or nataral rubber in the world market and is extensively cultivated in the state shows quite good growth and yield performance. Feasibility of processing the raw rubber within the state needs to be explored.Downloads
