Studies were conducted on the rooting response of branch cuttings of Populus gamblei Dode to different growth regulator treatments and seasonal variation in rooting. Growth regulators have considerably increased rooting. Twenty four hour dip treatment in aqueous solution of 200 ppm concentration of Indole acetic acid has given best results in which 70% rooting has been achieved. The data so far collected has also indicated seasonal variation in rooting response.Downloads
