Construction of Volume Equations for Determination of Growing Stock

Abstract

The volume equation of a species of a group of species obtained directly from the observed values of the variables gives a precise estimate of the relation. But if it is arrived through stages, it may mislead because of the ignorance towards the assumption in applying the theory. The blue pine species of Arunachal Pradesh is used to illustrate this point for constructing the local volume equation.
