Abstract

With huge effects in India, land degradation is a global hazard to ecosystems and human well-being. Bamboo is highlighted in this review as a sustainable approach to environmental management and land restoration. Bamboo efficiently stabilizes soil, reduces erosion, and restores degraded lands because of its quick growth, wide root system, and adaptability. In addition to promoting biodiversity preservation and phytoremediation of contaminated areas, it helps mitigate climate change through high carbon sequestration in biomass and soil. Bamboo also enhances soil fertility and supports applications of the circular economy, creating chances for employment and advancing sustainable development.
