Controversial Mikania (Climber)-a Threat to the Forests and Agriculture

Abstract

Tbe attentIon of Botanists, Agriculturists and Foresters and other interested persons is drawn towards this climber which has posed threat to the forests and agricultural industry at large almost all over eastern India. Attention Is also drawn to its controversisal name for which s resume of the finding. In various publications by various authors have been briefly given, A brief account of various control measures attempted at various levels including writer's own observations has been mentioned.
