The Role of Exotics in Karnataka Forestry

Abstract

Exotic species have been introduced in Karnataka State from time to time. Some of them are playing very important role in the economy of the State. The exotics which are extensively raised are enumerated giving the extent of their plantations and revenue realised per annum. Their importance has been brought out in terms of production, financial returns, employment and other indirect benefits.
