Clonal variation in rooting ability of branch cuttings of Dalbergia sissoo was studied. Significant variation in rooting percentage, root length and number of adventitious roots was observed in 41 clones of the species. The rooting ability should be included as one of thetraits in plus tree selection of the species, which ease the commercial production of superior planting stock of Dalbergia sissoo.Downloads
