Abstract

Heigh/dbh relationship has been developed for the Acacia tortilis which is useful in preparing single entry volume table and also in estimating height of the trees in the stands were it is difficult to measure it due to high canopy closure. Equation is given to predict dbh using base diameter and it is helpful in the high density plantations having many thorny branches and more than one main stem. Regression equation was also fitted to correlate crown length with the height and dbh of the trees. The models selected provide a good fit of the parameters.
