Laboratory investigations were carried out for preparing pulp and paper from Sterculia villosa Roxb.- a moderately fast growing species adopting soda and sulphate digestion process. The strength properties of the hand sheeets formed from the unbleached pulp obtained from the bark, debarked wood and their mixtures, were studied and reported here. The results obtained indicate that satisfactory yield of pulp with good strength properties could be obtained by adopting any of the above processes for digestion.Downloads
