The paper centres around analysis of the impact of demographic pressure on forests. It notes with a sence of alarm the harm being caused to forests by forest grazing live-stock. It stresses the need to limit rights and concessions of the people on forests and advocates massive tree planting activities by private people. The paper questions the decision of the Government to ban scientific fellings in natural forests even though allowing biotic pressure to continue these upon. Suggestions are given to minimize fire damage in forests. The paper also emphasizes the need to eradicate rank weeds from forests.Downloads
