The Establishment and Activities of Bihar State Forest Development Corporation Limited

Abstract

Bihar State Forest Development Corporation was incorporated under Indian Companies Act, 1956 on 10.2.1975. The Corporation was established to develop foresls productivity, to increase availability of Minor Forest Produce such as seeds of edible and non-edible oil of tree origin, to promote, develop, forest based industries and utilize, hitherto waste, in conventional use of forests produce. The Corporation is also engaged in collection and sale of Kendu Leaves and storage of Sal seeds. A polythene tube factory has also been established.
