Abstract

Various concentrations of Stik (0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1.0,2.0 mgml-1) initiated higher percentage of rooting as well as sprouting of nodes, but only less subsequent shoot growth in the stem cuttings of Vitex nigundo. Similar concentrations of GA3 have hardly shown any rooting initiation, but also lower sprouting percentage, although, it exhibited greater subsequent shoot growth than that of Stik. Stik at 0.5 and 1.0 mgml-1 level have given maximum percentage of moisture content of the roots, with 100% rooting response in cuttings.
