Abstract

A modified volumetric method for the estimation of oxalic acid in Terminalia barks using standard potassium permanganate was standardised, which could he useful when a large number of bark samples are involved, as it is less time consuming than the gravimetric method and does not involve the isolation of oxalic acid by crystallization.
