Abstract

Root and Item borer of tendu, cossus cadamba, Mpore (lepidoptera Cossidae) was for the first time recorded damaging Diospyros malanoxyion in Madhya Pradesh and Maharastra. A short account of the biology and nature of damage in tendu is discussed.
