Nepeta duthiei Mukerjee (Lamiaceae): An Endangered and Endemic Himalayan Herb Rediscovered from Himachal Pradesh after 130 Years

Nepeta L. is the largest genus of family Lamiaceae with ca 300 species, most of which are herbaceous perennial (Pojarkova, 1954; Baser et al., 2000); Jamzad et al. (2005). In India Nepeta is the second largest genus of Indian Lamiaceae, with ca 41 species, out of which 37 occur in Western Himalaya (Mukerjee, 1940; Hassan and Dar, 2013). Twenty three (23) species are known to occur in Uttarakhand state including Nepeta duthiei (Uniyal et al., 2007).References
