Need for Research and Demonstration in Watershed Management

Abstract

Watershed management is gradually gaining importance in the country. For proper planning and execution of management practices, collection of certain basic data, research for indicating the most desirable practices and demonstration for mass education are necessary. This paper, broadly, suggests the type of data to be collected, research and demonstration projects to be undertaken and the likely organisations which can cooperate in this venture.
