Abstract

The article describes pilot plant trials of the two stage process of Katha and Cutch production recently developed in the Chemistry of Forest Products Branch of this Institute (Indian Forester, 1965,91 (1), 67). Total yield of katha and cutch obtained are 9.35 per cent and 5.66 per cent respectively on the oven dry weight of the heartwood.
