Solanum khasianum Clarke, grown during July 1968 to May 1969 at N.B.G. Lucknow shows the development of maximum solasonine content in fruits when the plants are 9 to 10 weeks old by which time fruits change the colour from green to yellow. There is a sharp decline in the Solasonine contents if the fruits are allowed to mature beyond the yellow colour stage. Observations on flower to fruit development have also been recorded.Downloads
