Interesting results have been obtained from trials of intercropping with Turmeric in North Bengal. Turmeric is a very successful intercrop which can be grown in 2 year and older plantations. As a result of this cultivation substantial income is obtained and growth of the forest crop improves considerably. Detail studies about Turmeric and other intercrops are in progress.
