Biomass prediction and distribution of organic matter in different components of Cinnamomum camphora tree species was studied. Correlation coefficient and regression models were worked out separately for each biomass component and the total aboveground biomass. Among the predictor variables tried, D2H was found to be the most reliable parameter for predicting biomass. The total standing aboveground biomass of C. camphora stand is 104.0 tonnes/ha. Contribution of different tree components to the total aboveground biomass is in the following order: Bole > Twigs + Branch > Bark > Leaves > Fruit.Downloads
