Significance of Nitrogen Fixing Woody Legume Trees in Forestry

Abstract

Woody legumes plays a very important role in conservation and improvement of soil through the nitrogen fixation. These are capable to meet the increasing demand for fuel, fodder and timber and can be used for both protective and productive purposes. Various roles of woody legumes have been discussed in this paper.
