Abstract

Increasing human and animal population in Himachal Pradesh is putting ever greater pressure on the natural resources. There is, evidently, greater pressure on social systems too, wherein individual gain is getting precedence over society's welfare. Hence, the entire system is under strain. This article draws attention towards Himalayan eeo-system preservation and suggests remedial strategies.
