The name Quercus acutissima Carruthers is the valid name of the North-Eastern Regions species of oak in India. There exists no other alternative name against this Indian species. A scrutiny of synonyms mentioned in the literatures for this oak in India reveals that the use of the name Quercus serrata Thunberg can always be avoided and defendable for one reason or another.Downloads
