Growth and Yield of Cane (Calamus tenuis Roxb.) in Assam

Abstract

There is significant difference in the total number as well as the total length of cane (Calamus tenuis Roxb.) obtained from per unit area at different harvesting cycle. Maximum number as well as length of cane could be obtained from two years harvesting cycle. Cane attains its maximum growth within two years and after that growth rate deteriorates considerably.
