Abstract

The present paper gives an account of the results obtained on delignification of refiner oechanical pulps from Albizia lebbek and Eucalyptus hybrid by sulphate process. It was found but that delignification of refiner mechanical pulps by 8% chemicals (NaOH+Na2S) could live high yield pulps (yield 60%) having the strength properties almost equal to kraft pulp of 15% yield. It was also observed that the results obtained by delignified sulphate pulps are letter than the corresponding delignified soda pulps and the results of delignified sulpbate pulps are nearer to kraft pulps.
