Abstract

The essential oil of newly evolved Eucalyptus/I> hybrid FRI-4 at various dilutions has been tested for its antimicrobial activity against various organisms. The pure oil has been found to be most active against all the test organisms. Even at dilution of 1 : 1000, the oil has been found to be active against all the test organisms exceptEpidermophyton floccosum. It is therefore, recommended for pharmaceutical preparations.
