Half-sib seedlings belonging to eight Santalum album trees located at different places were quantitatively measured for nursery characters to assess variability and superiority in seedling. Results revealed inter-tree variability was significant. It has also been assessed that the seedlings belonging to the tree numbers KL3 K33, K26, and AP4, are superior in performances and KL3 be the best. The analysis of correlation coefficients among different characters indicate that the collar diameter is significantly negatively correlated with the shoot length. Shoot length and root lengths are significantly and positively correlated.Downloads
