Correlations of Age-element in Tectona grandis

An analysis of correlation coefficients with the same set of data, (1) with age and, (2) without age (by partialing out the age element) revealed negligible -differences on the magnitude of correlation coefficients, indicating that age need not be considered for analysis purposes. However, it has been suggested that though it is not necessary to consider the age element and the raw data can be used as such for multivariate analysis, the standardised data also could be used for the purpose. This procedure is beneficial while utilising the data for classification of plants from natural forests or of plantation origin where age is not known.Downloads
