Abstract

The present paper is a result of exploration of the Garo Hills (Assam) undertaken by Late Mr. T.D. Srinivasan during the year 1929, 1933-1935, who could not unfortunately publish the account of the flora. All his collections were properly identified and deposited by himself in the Central National Herbarium (CAL). In all 467 species and 15 varieties have been listed. Of these, 435 species and 15 varieties belong to the dicotyledons and 32 species to the monocotyledons. The dicotyledons are distributed within 83 families and 295 genera. The monocotyledons are distributed within 6 families and 29 genera.
