This paper is divided into two parts. Part I deals with the problem, with notes on pioneer work and recent experimental work with exotics in Kulu, PunJab. Zones of tree vegetation in tho Kulu hills are shortly described. It discussea the question of policy and the problem in the fir zone and in the chir-lower deodar zone, Part II gives notes on the results of the experiments with the various exotics tried.Downloads
