Abstract

An ecological account of the vegetation and soils of the coastal dunes and slacks, is presented. The floristic and soil data are recorded in term of habitat types, recognised by their topography, edaphic conditions and the associated flora. A few plant grouping were observed to form a graded continuum from summit to mid-slope but no one of them reoccur in swale, indicating thereby the prevailing influence of the physiographic conditions on the plant colonisation trend.
