Bamboo species are susceptible to insect attack at every stage, right from seeds to the finished products. In recent past during an insect survey a beetle was found boring into green culms of standing bamboo. The beetle was collected and got identified as Phlaeobius crassicollis (Coleoptera: Anthribidae). It makes first record of this beetle's infestation on bamboo species.Downloads
