Aerial seeding of mangrove (Avicennia and Sonneratla) were tried during August-September, 1989 In the mud flat of Sundarbans (West Bengal) and 50% auccesa has been obtained. In subsequent year wIth improved seed drill the better result has been obtained. this method has opened up posalbillty of large scale afforestation of blank areas in mangrove swamp within a limited period.Downloads
