Abstract

Pileostegia subansiriana Naithani and Bennet sp. noV. is described from Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh. This species is allied to P. viburnoides Hook. f. and Th, but differs in having longer leaves with 9-11 pairs of nerves, longer panicle and shorter stamens with filaments flattened at the base.
