Abstract

Acrocarpus fraxinifolius is a fast growing species of tropical and subtropical, high rainfall zone. Germination of seeds is erratic. To find out a suitable method of pre-treatment for faster and assured germination, several treatments were tried. It was found that treating the seeds with concentrated Sulphuric acid for 10 minutes gave very good germination.
