The present study aimed to investigate the effect of biofertilizers on the growth parameters and quality indices of Dalbergia sissoo seedlings. The experiment was conducted in a randomized complete block design with twelve treatments, including control, with three replications. The growth parameters such as collar diameter (CD), shoot length (SL), root length, shoot fresh weight (SFW) and dry weight (SDW), root fresh weight (RFW) and dry weight (RDW), Dickson quality index (DQI), shoot to root ratio, volume (V), and were measured after 90 and 180 days after inoculation (DAI). The results showed that the application of biofertilizers significantly increased the CD, SL, RL, SFW, SDW, RFW and RDW as well as quality indices, as compared to the control. Â Furthermore, the correlation and regression between morphological characteristics and quality indexes of D. sisoo seedlings revealed that DQI, volume indices showed a positive correlation with CD, SL, RL, and while S:R ratio showed a positive significant correlation with SDW and explained 99.5, 97.7, 99.6% and 99.4, 97.3, 99.5% Â variability at 90 and 180 DAI respectively. Present studies suggest that, among all the treatments the combined application of AM + Azospirillum has shown better performance as compared to others and can be used in the future for the production of quality planting material.
