Abstract

Anthocephalus chinensis plantations raised at 5 different spacings viz, 6'Ã—6', 6'Ã—12', 12' Ã— 12',8 5'Ã—8.5' and 12'Ã—12' (Quincunx) were studied to identify the spacing that gave the best growth. The spacing of 12'Ã—12' is found to give best growth; besides 8.5'Ã—8.5' is also found to give similar growth rate and having additional advantage of having more number of trees in a given area.
